Payroll Clerk

A payroll clerk is someone responsible for completing the task of processing payroll for a business. Payroll clerks may be certified, holding a Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation or a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation. A payroll clerk should understand all of the IRS regulations having to do with payroll deductions, tax deposits and tax filings.
